Be Prepared for 2019
Presented by Jeff Thurrell, Partner, Fisher Phillips
Governor Brown has signed numerous measures into law that will impact California hoteliers in 2019 and beyond. Don’t wait to prepare. The program presented by labor and employment firm Fisher Phillips LLP will provide a summary of the new laws and will also provide an update on key case developments. The “me too” movement had an impact on critical pieces of legislation that passed in 2018. Some of the laws include such things as required sexual harassment training for all employees in California and the prohibition against certain types of non-disclosure agreements. We will also touch on the California OSHA Hotel Housekeeping Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program (MIPP) that went into effect earlier this year. Finally, we will provide an update on any ADA accessibility trends. There will be ample time for Q&A.
