CHLA, incorporating recommendations from the CDC, the California Department of Public Health and county health departments, has established standards for guest and employee cleanliness, workplace cleaning and safety, and changing guest experiences. The comprehensive Clean + Safe” program provides the two essential elements needed for a hotel to successfully re-open – guidance for hoteliers and confidence for travelers.

New Member Benefit - Telemedicine: Discounted Virtual Visits with Health Professionals

To help support members and member employees, CHLA has contracted with Teladoc to provide telehealth services to employees and their families for a members-only negotiated price of $7 per employee per month with $0 copays. Services include general medicine, mental health, dermatology, back pain and expert medical opinions. Virtual visits are offered through employers who may choose to cost share with their employees.

Lodging employees must undergo human trafficking awareness training by January 1, 2020.

Senate Bill 970 requires lodging employees to undergo 20 minutes of human trafficking awareness training by January 1, 2020. CHLA members have access to free human trafficking training through CHLA’s partnership with Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST). Properties with fewer than 20 rooms are exempt from this requirement, but we still encourage you to explore the free online training and resources.
